Navoiyuran State-Owned Enterprise’s ESG Rating Increased from 55 to 61 Points
“Navoiyuran” State-Owned Enterprise is pleased to announce that the international rating agency Sustainable Fitch has affirmed the Company’s ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) rating and increased its overall ESG score from 55 to 61, while maintaining the ESG rating level at “3”.
According to Sustainable Fitch, this result reflects Navoiyuran’s clear and systematic sustainability strategy, the consistent ESG transformation being implemented across the enterprise, and a strong corporate governance framework established within the Company. The increase in the ESG score confirms that Navoiyuran’s practical efforts to enhance ESG management have been recognised at the international level.
The rating report positively notes that the natural uranium produced by Navoiyuran supports nuclear power generation, enabling electricity production without greenhouse gas emissions at the generation stage. This was recognised as a significant contribution to global efforts to combat climate change.
In the environmental dimension, the Company’s comprehensive environmental strategy, transparent disclosure of key environmental indicators, and the absence of recorded environmental incidents in recent years were positively assessed.
In the social dimension, high ratings were assigned to the Company’s approved human rights and labour relations policies, the high standard of working conditions, and the absence of company-related social incidents over the past three years. In addition, the extensive efforts undertaken to promote gender equality, including the increased participation of women in the Company’s management, were specifically highlighted. These factors demonstrate Navoiyuran’s strong commitment to creating a safe, stable, and equal working environment for its employees.
In the area of corporate governance, the Company’s compliance with national and international governance standards, as well as the clear separation of powers between the Supervisory Board and the Chief Executive Officer, were positively assessed as key elements ensuring balance, transparency, and accountability in management.
