Summary of Activities on Women’s councils in the system of SE “Navoiyuran” for 2024
The State Enterprise “Navoiuran” has been consistently implementing measures aimed at increasing women’s socio-political activity, protecting their legal rights, unlocking their potential, strengthening family institutions, and safeguarding motherhood and childhood.
Out of a total of 9,403 employees of the enterprise, approximately 1,000 are women.
To improve working conditions for women and ensure compliance with labor and occupational safety laws, systematic efforts were undertaken to equip household facilities (locker rooms, showers, and personal hygiene rooms for women) in accordance with established standards.
Lists of low-income women, women in need of special social protection, and mothers raising children with disabilities were compiled. The Women’s Council, trade unions, and enterprise divisions provided support to these women by distributing food packages, educational supplies, and vouchers for family vacations in health resorts.
To ensure equal rights and opportunities for women and men working at the enterprise and its subdivisions, seminars were organized with the participation of representatives from the Navoiy Regional Department for Family and Women’s Affairs.
The Advisory Council for Ensuring Equal Rights and Opportunities for Women and Men at SE “Navoiuran” has been implementing tasks outlined in the action plan to ensure gender equality and prevent discrimination step by step.
To provide social, legal, and psychological support to women facing difficult social conditions, individual efforts were made to address the identified socio-economic challenges of women experiencing family or other issues.
In 2024, 54 successful female employees of the enterprise were awarded honorary certificates and letters of appreciation by the enterprise management, the Ministry of Mining and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Navoiy Regional Administration. Some of them were also honored with the title “Miner’s Glory.”
In accordance with the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Manzura Nuriddinova, a geotechnological mine operator at the “Uchkuduk” production site, was awarded the “Shuhrat” medal.
