Issues of Subsoil Use, Industrial, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety Discussed
A training seminar was held at the State Enterprise “Navoiuran” with the participation of representatives from the Committee on Industrial, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and its territorial branch for Navoi region.
The seminar was attended by the First Deputy General Director and Chief Engineer A. Saparov, Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of the State Enterprise “Navoiuran” D. Temirov, Director of Occupational Safety and Sustainable Development S. Nurnazarov, as well as other department heads, service managers of the enterprise’s administration, and engineering-technical staff.
Additionally, chief engineers and specialists from the Zafarabad mining board, the Uranium and scientific research Institute of Uranium geology & Rare Metals, production sites “Nurabad” and “Uchkuduk,” the Central Material & Technical Store, the Central Laboratory for Control and Measuring Instruments and Automation participated in the event via videoconference.
The seminar discussed the ongoing efforts to comply with and implement the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-79 dated May 24, 2024, “On Measures to Improve the System of State Administration and Control in the Field of Subsoil Use, Industrial, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety, and the Use of Nuclear Energy” and the Cabinet of Ministers’ Resolution No. 633 of October 4, 2024, “On Measures to Organize the Activities of the Committee on Industrial, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.”
Subsequently, the agenda topics were addressed by the First Deputy General Director and Chief Engineer A. Saparov, Head of the Committee on Industrial, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan O. Juraev, and Head of the Territorial Administration A. Nurullaev. They elaborated on the mechanisms for implementing the relevant Presidential and Government documents, as well as ongoing work in this area.
During the event, participants had the opportunity to ask questions and receive comprehensive answers from specialists.
