Meetings are being held within the framework of the international conference
A bilateral meeting took place between Kh. Meliyev, Managing Director for Investments at the Navoiyuran State Enterprise (SE), and Dr. Adrienne Hanly, Deputy to the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) responsible for International Uranium Reserves and the Production Industry.
The parties discussed opportunities for cooperating on Navoiyuran’s global operations. The company is widely regarded as a world leader in the extraction of natural uranium using the in‑situ recovery (ISR) method, also known as underground leaching.
Establishing partnerships with governments and companies in other countries that apply this technology has become a priority. Over the past three years, Navoiyuran SE has evolved from a firm needing to attract investment into one ready to invest abroad in technology, with a clear strategy for doing so. Under the leadership of its General Director, extensive and systematic work is being undertaken to this end.
In particular, the company has successfully presented its capabilities and potential at international organizations and conferences this year. For the first time it participated in the World Nuclear Fuel Market (WNFM) annual nuclear‑fuel trading conference, held on 1–4 June in Sydney, Australia, and in the World Nuclear Association’s 50th‑anniversary symposium, held on 2–5 September in London.
Navoiyuran SE is also taking legal and organizational steps to carry out joint projects in countries such as Mongolia, Tajikistan, Australia, Jordan and Indonesia.
