Navoiyuran specialists begin uranium-related geological exploration and sampling works in Jordan
As part of an official visit, specialists of Navoiyuran State Enterprise are currently in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, where together with the Jordan Uranium Mining Company (JUMCO) they are carrying out geological research, collecting geological samples, conducting laboratory analyses, and defining specific tasks to develop joint proposals for uranium exploration.
Within this cooperation, geologists of Navoiyuran and JUMCO specialists are gathering geological samples in promising areas such as Wadi Al-Baxiya, Swaqa, Khan Al-Zabib, and Hasa-Qatrana to assess the potential for uranium extraction.
These samples will be analyzed in Navoiyuran laboratories to identify their mineral composition and uranium concentration. The obtained results will serve as the basis for shaping future joint projects and making decisions regarding the development of joint deposits.
Moreover, based on geological data and laboratory results of soil samples, both parties will prepare practical proposals for upcoming projects related to uranium mining and processing. This cooperation will contribute to increasing Uzbekistan’s uranium production volumes in the future and further strengthening industrial partnership between the two countries.
