The Second International Forum of Independent Members of Supervisory Boards of State-Owned Enterprises was held
The Forum was aimed at deepening the transformation of state-owned enterprises, introducing effective management mechanisms, and enhancing transparency and efficiency in the management of state assets.
Independent members of the Supervisory Board of SE Navoiyuran – Mr. Kevin Kim and Mr. Wahid TaWfik – took part in the Forum.
In the second session, Mr. Kevin Kim delivered a speech highlighting the transformation journey of Navoiyuran. He emphasized the progress achieved in strengthening corporate governance, enhancing the effectiveness of the Supervisory Board, and embedding the principles of transparency and accountability into daily operations.
Mr. Kim also noted the importance of newly established structures such as the Risk Management Department, the independent Audit Committee, and the Corporate Secretary Service, which have contributed to a more structured and transparent management system within the enterprise.
At the conclusion of the Forum, participants exchanged views on further developing modern governance culture in state-owned enterprises, strengthening the role of independent board members, and expanding the adoption of international best practices. The event served as an important platform for deepening transformation processes and moving corporate governance in state-owned enterprises to a new stage of development.
