Representatives of “Navoiyuran” State Enterprise Participate in an International Event in Australia
As part of a business trip to Australia, representatives of “Navoiyuran” State Enterprise are attending an event organized to mark the 25th anniversary of uranium production operations at the “Beverley Four Mile” mine, managed by “Heathgate Resources Pty Ltd.” The mine is located in South Australia, approximately 550 km north of Adelaide. The event was organized at the invitation of the U.S.-based companies “General Atomics” and “Nuclear Fuels Corporation.”
Specialists from the company delivered a presentation highlighting that the mine consists of four production areas. They provided detailed information on the history of geological exploration at the site, current activities, technological drilling operations, in-situ leaching mining, centralized processing of productive solutions, sorption, extraction, thickening, and drying processes. It was emphasized that all these stages are fully automated, and that the final product is packaged and prepared for export using a robotic system.
In addition to expanding operations at the current mine, the company also announced that it is on the verge of developing new uranium, copper, and gold deposits in Queensland, Australia.
Furthermore, comprehensive information was shared regarding environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, engagement with local Indigenous communities, and the company’s corporate social responsibility. Visitors were given the opportunity to see these facilities on-site.
Additionally, Christopher Frank, a representative of “Nuclear Fuels Corporation,” announced that a large sandstone-hosted uranium deposit is expected to be launched in the state of New Mexico, USA, by 2030. The necessary permits and licenses are currently in the process of being finalized.
While outlining plans to attract foreign partners for the implementation of this project, it was noted that “Navoiyuran” State Enterprise is ready to begin active negotiations to participate in the initiative.
