State-owned Enterprise “Navoiyuran” exceeds the set indicators
On July 9, 2024, an expanded video conference meeting was held under the chairmanship of Djamal Fayzullayev, General Director of the State-owned Enterprise “Navoiyuran”, to discuss the production activities of the enterprise for the first half of 2024 and the main tasks related to the unconditional fulfillment of the forecasted indicators set for 2024.
Initially, General Director Djamal Fayzullaev provided information on the results of the enterprise’s production and economic activities for the first half of 2024 and the measures aimed at achieving the important tasks of fulfilling the forecasted indicators set for 2024.
General Director Djamal Fayzullaev emphasized: “As highlighted, the state’s planned production of uranium was exceeded by 110%, with this indicator representing 112% compared to the previous year. The forecast indicator for geological exploration work was exceeded by 122%, with a growth rate of 157%. The volume of processing productive solutions was 122%, with a growth rate of 111%, and uranium extraction reached 105% with a growth rate of 111%. As a result, export volume indicators were fulfilled by 183%, with a growth rate of 167%.
Within the framework of the investment program projects, the enterprise achieved 207%, with $48.5 million in capital investments absorbed and 48 new jobs created.
During the reporting period, 32.9 billion soums worth of products were manufactured under 16 projects within the localization program, fulfilling the forecast indicator by 102%, with a growth rate of 146%.”
The enterprise head highlighted the production issues and urgent matters first.
Then, reports were heard on the results of the indicators set for the first half of 2024 and the measures taken to ensure the unconditional fulfillment of the production program indicators for the current year and to create a foundation for sustainable development.
Specifically, the first deputy general director and chief engineer, A. Saparov, provided information on the results of uranium production indicators for the first half of the year and the enterprise’s near-term plans. Specific proposals and measures being taken to achieve the set product production goals were discussed.
During the discussions, O. Ruziyev, director of the “Zafarobod” mine administration, reported on the measures being taken to further increase production indicators in geotechnological mines in the second half of the year. Additionally, Sh. Jurayev, director of geology, provided information on the plans to drill over 906 thousand meters across 25 sites in the second half of the year, with the goal of increasing uranium reserves to a total of 8,025.0 tons by the end of 2024 and forecasted uranium resources to 10,000 tons. Moreover, final geological reports are planned for the Northern Bukinoy, Aktau, Aulbek, Nurkon, and Moybuloq mines, aiming to confirm a total of 22,000 tons of uranium reserves with the State Reserves Commission.
The General Director assigned specific tasks to ensure the fulfillment of the geological exploration and drilling indicators set for the current year, particularly for the second half of the year, as well as the parameters of the production program.
Additionally, the efficiency of addressing key supply issues in fulfilling production indicators, and plans for the second half of the year, especially ensuring the timely and uninterrupted supply of essential chemical reagents, necessary goods, materials, and spare parts, were also in focus. In this regard, L. Khamidov, director of supply, was tasked with ensuring the timely delivery of goods and materials related to the production process, including drilling equipment and equipment for investment projects.
The enterprise head assigned a series of tasks to the responsible individuals and heads of each structural division regarding the agenda items, ensuring strict control over their implementation. Specifically, the tasks include expediting the procurement of 23 drilling rigs and diesel power stations, and other necessary goods and materials, completing the reconstruction of the furnace at the uranium production plant with the necessary spare parts and putting it into operation in a short time, ensuring the timely implementation of the “Road Maps” adopted in accordance with the Strategic Agreement signed with China’s CNUC company, establishing a joint venture with international companies for geological exploration, conducting experimental test works jointly with foreign partners to develop optimal technologies for processing ores from the “Madanli”, “Jantuar”, and “Koscheka” mines, sending technological samples to Chinese partners, creating 3D models of “Jontuar”, “Koscheka”, and “Madanli” mines for digitizing geological exploration data, and accelerating the introduction of digital technologies for online monitoring of production processes.
Furthermore, necessary instructions were given regarding the priority tasks to be performed by each structural division of the enterprise, including fulfilling the geotechnological drilling indicators in production, increasing the efficiency of the enterprise’s activities, ensuring the unconditional fulfillment of all production, investment, and export indicators approved for the current year, and addressing geological exploration and localization matters.
