Partnership with a Chinese Corporation

It is known that in January of this year, our President visited the People’s Republic of China and held high-level meetings. In particular, cooperation between the Ministry of Mining and Geology and China’s National Nuclear Corporation was also established.

On March 28, a delegation led by Shen Yanfen, Vice President of China’s National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), visited the “Navoiuran” State Enterprise.

Initially, the guests familiarized themselves with the production activities of the 2nd Geotechnological Mine of the “Zafarobod” Mine Administration.

A. Saparov, First Deputy General Director and Chief Engineer of SOE “Navoiyuran”, provided the Chinese specialists with detailed information about the technological processes of production.

In the afternoon, the delegation representatives had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the activities of the Uranium Production Plant located in the city of Navoi.

As part of the visit program, a meeting was scheduled in Tashkent between the leadership of the Ministry of Mining and Geology and the delegation led by Shen Yanfen, Vice President of China’s National Nuclear Corporation.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the issues specified in the “Strategic Cooperation on Uranium Resources” agreement signed on January 23 of this year.

It should be noted that in November 2023, the company’s management was in China, where they met with representatives of this corporation, and shortly thereafter, Chinese specialists also visited the company.
